ASHBURTON SPEEDWAY
welcome to the
Ashburton Speedway Website
Ashburton Speedway is located in the heart of Mid Canterbury in the farming town of Ashburton.

Ashburton Speedway races a variety of regular classes including Stockcars, Production Saloons, Saloons, Streetstocks, Adult Ministock, Youth Ministocks, C Grade Saloons, Youth Productions, Quarter Midgets and Six Shooters.

Ashburton Speedway also has many visiting classes including, Sprintcars, Modifieds and Side cars plus a Demolition Derby once a year with some novelty events throughout the action-packed season.

Ashburton Speedway has been successfully running the Adult Ministock NZ title for 14 years. Five Years ago we also held the first Production NZ title. And two years ago we ran the first Six Shooter NZ title. We are the only track in the country featuring three NZ titles in one weekend in May Each year.

Speedway racing has been at the track since 1970 racing under the name of Ashburton Stock Car club. It was changed to Ashburton Speedway Assn in December 1985. Most of the maintenance and track development has been done by different committees and volunteers over the years. So without their generous help we would not be the club we are today.

We have had many sponsors of the years that have helped the club in different ways and without their support we couldn't afford to run. Without their support, Ashburton Speedway would not be the spectacular and affordable entertainment that it is. Please support those who support speedway.

Everybody that races or comes to watch all agree we are one of the most friendly and helpful tracks around. If you have any questions about joining the club or getting into speedway for the first time; don't hesitate to come and talk to us.

Thankyou for visiting our website and please visit regularly to keep up to date with the latest news and results.
